About Us
We are a mother and son driven by purpose, resilience, and gratitude. Domanic is the mother of Aamir who is a Leukemia survivor. After facing and overcoming childhood cancer, our journey became bigger than just our story, it became a mission.
Through strength, faith, and unwavering support, we witnessed what true courage looks like. That experience inspired us to honor and uplift childhood cancer survivors, celebrating their victories and bringing hope to families still in the fight.
Our goal is simple: to create awareness, give back, and remind every child and family that their battle matters and their victory deserve to be heard.
Mission
Sounds of Joy Project is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, support, and joy to children battling pediatric cancer and their families. We celebrate survivors through Ring the Bell Celebrations, raise awareness through MOMs (Mothers on a Mission), and provide mentorship and support for young boys through DADs (Dads Are Determined). Our goal is to turn challenging moments into meaningful, lasting memories.
MOMs
MOMs (Mothers on a Mission) The mission of MOMs is to raise awareness of pediatric cancer in schools and underserved communities while empowering mothers to be strong advocates for their children. Through outreach, education, and shared experiences, MOMs work to increase understanding, compassion, and community support for families impacted by childhood cancer.
DADs
DADs (Dads Are Determined) The mission of DADs is to provide mentorship, encouragement, and commitment to boys who are currently in treatment or have completed treatment for cancer. Through engaging group activities such as sports outings, fishing, and bowling DADs will help build confidence and a sense of solidarity. The goal is to be an essential building block that helps cultivate growth, gain confidence, and create a support network for boys.”
